Hand movement during the delivery of the ball determines the type of delivery, line and length. Here is a very useful and well detailed guide for releasing the ball. Here are two useful videos I found which can help you.

After releasing the ball i.e follow up the hand usually goes to the left (for Right Arm Bowlers) or rarely straight.
